The Cadillac Eldorado was always about personal luxury. The 1971-1978 Eldorado was built on the General Motors E-body platform that was shared with the Oldsmobile Toronado and the Buick Riviera. The Eldorado and the Tornoado were front-wheel drive cars while the Riviera was rear-wheel drive. The Eldorado was available has a convertible and a coupe. It had a 126.3-inch wheelbase and an overall length of 224 inches. The Eldorado would receive facelifts in 1973 and 1975. A new Eldorado arrived in 1979.
The 1974 Convertible Eldorado featured here has purple exterior and a white top and interior. The car was loaded with options for the day, that including power windows, power locks, power steering, tilt-telescoping steering wheel, cruise control, climate control and AM/FM stereo. The Eldorado is powered by a massive 501 cubic inch engine.
